2014 Fantasy Football Rankings: Rookie Update

I realize it's the middle of May and I just put out an article earlier this week, but I just couldn't help myself.  After digesting the NFL Draft, I felt compelled to update my rankings.  As usual, I've made notes next to players who have been added or moved around.  This list is going to change a lot in a couple of months when training camps start.

But until then, here goes nothing...

Cheers,
Bart

1. Jamaal Charles
2. LeSean McCoy
3. Adrian Peterson
4. Marshawn Lynch
5. Matt Forte
6. Eddie Lacy
7. Jimmy Graham
8. Peyton Manning: Splitting hairs with him, Brees, and Rodgers.  But I think Peyton is worth a 1st round pick.
9. Calvin Johnson
10. Montee Ball
11. Le'Veon Bell
12. Giovani Bernard
13. Aaron Rodgers
14. Drew Brees
15. A.J. Green
16. Demaryius Thomas
17. Arian Foster: Concerned about recovery from back surgery, but I had him too low with his talent/situation.
18. Doug Martin: Bucs should improve on offense, and he's already fully recovered from torn labrum.
19. Zac Stacy: The Tre Mason pick has me concerned with timeshare potential in 2014.
20. Alfred Morris
21. DeMarco Murray
22. Dez Bryant
23. Brandon Marshall
24. Antonio Brown
25. Julio Jones
26. Alshon Jeffery
27. Jordy Nelson
28. C.J. Spiller: Down a bit. Bills tried to move up to draft Hyde. They didn't, but did sign Bryce Brown.
29. Reggie Bush: Also continues to fall in my rankings.  Joique Bell expected to be used more.
30. Ben Tate
31. Andre Ellington
32. Chris Johnson
33. Ray Rice
34. Ryan Mathews
35. Bishop Sankey: The first RB off the board in the draft landed in a great spot to get a lot of touches.
36. Julius Thomas
37. Pierre Garcon
38. Randall Cobb
39. Keenan Allen
40. Vincent Jackson
41. Matthew Stafford
42. Andrew Luck
43. Rashad Jennings: Moving him up, assuming he receives majority of touches in NYG's offense.
44. Shane Vereen
45. Frank Gore
46. Toby Gerhart: Up slightly too, assuming he wins starting gig (not much competition).
47. Larry Fitzgerald
48. Andre Johnson
49. Rob Gronkowski: This high of a ranking is assuming he'll be healthy for Week 1.
50. DeSean Jackson
51. Wes Welker
52. Victor Cruz: With Nicks gone, I probably still had him too low in my last rankings update.
53. Torrey Smith
54. Michael Crabtree
55. Roddy White
56. Trent Richardson: Moved him up a bit. Hopefully has a handle on the offense at this point.
57. Joique Bell: He's up too. Might be getting a lot more carries in 2014.
58. Knowshon Moreno: He's down though.  Not sure about workload in Miami with Lamar Miller.
59. Steven Jackson
60. Stevan Ridley
61. Percy Harvin
62. Cordarelle Patterson
63. Kendall Wright
64. Michael Floyd
65. Julian Edelman
66. Vernon Davis: Moved him way down with Stevie Johnson signing, but Crabtree about the same.
67. Tom Brady
68. RGIII
69. Cam Newton
70. Matt Ryan
71. Nick Foles
72. TY Hilton
73. Eric Decker
74. Marques Colston
75. Maurice Jones-Drew
76. DeAngelo Williams
77. Pierre Thomas
78. Fred Jackson
79. Golden Tate: Up a few spots.  Might need to be up even more...
80. Mike Evans: Time for a rookie WR. Hoping McCown throws to him like he did Alshon.
81. Russell Wilson
82. Tony Romo
83. Colin Kaepernick
84. Mike Wallace
85. Jeremy Maclin: Assumed to be the Eagles #1 WR now, but we'll see.  Moved up a lot though.
86. Cecil Shorts
87. Sammy Watkins: Probably a little high for him, but so much talent and could be #1 WR instantly.
88. Terrance Williams: Moved him up too.  Probably will be a sexy mid-round pick this year.
89. Reggie Wayne: As long as he's healthy and ready for Week 1, had to move him up to this level.
90. Jordan Cameron: These tight ends fell by default.  I'm devaluing them versus some of the WRs.
91. Greg Olsen: Moved him up TE list because Cam doesn't have anyone else to throw to!
92. Jason Witten
93. Dennis Pitta
94. Jordan Reed
95. Shonn Greene: Moved down with Titans drafting Sankey, but he'll still be big part of the offense.
96. Darren Sproles
97. Darren McFadden
98. Chris Ivory
99. Devonta Freeman: I said I wouldn't rank him yet, but I lied.  I think he'll be #2 RB, not 'Quizz.
100. Danny Woodhead
101. Emmanuel Sanders: Down slightly with Broncos taking Latimer in 2nd round...
102. Brandin Cooks: Speaking of rookies, I think Cooks will be immediate target for Brees.
103. DeAndre Hopkins
104. Dwayne Bowe
105. Anquan Boldin
106. Riley Cooper: In addition to Maclin, I think I wasn't high enough on Cooper either.
107. Philip Rivers
108. Jay Cutler
109. Andy Dalton
110. Khiry Robinson: With Sproles gone, Robinson bound to be more involved in the offense.
111. Lamar Miller: But with Knowshon in Miami, not so sure about Miller now.
112. Benjarvis Green-Ellis:  Ranking him here for now, but this could become Jeremy Hill...
113. Kyle Rudolph
114. Zach Ertz: Celek is still there, but Ertz had all 5 of his TDs in 2nd half of last year (and playoff game).
115. Marvin Jones
116. Reuben Randle
117. James Jones
118. Tavon Austin
119. Kelvin Benjamin: Could be #1 WR in Carolina, but it also could take some time.
120. Brian Hartline
121. Steve Smith
122. Danny Amendola
123. Hakeem Nicks
124. Johnny Manziel:  The eleventh round seems like a fine time to take a risk on Johnny.
125. Ben Roethlisberger: Or you could play it safe and take a proven QB like Big Ben.
126. Andre Brown: Should be nothing more than a backup if Arian Foster is healthy.
127. Bernard Pierce
128. Stepfan Taylor
129. Aaron Dobson
130. Stevie Johnson: Moved him down a bit with his move to San Fran (no longer #1 option).
131. Robert Woods: And I moved him up now that he could be in Buffalo.
132. Kenny Stills: Him too...
133. Tre Mason: The rookie could get some touches behind Zac Stacy.
134. Roy Helu
135. Carlos Hyde: Probably won't eat into Gore's reps too much, but could be great keeper.
136. C.J. Anderson: Maybe this is Ronnie Hillman as Montee's backup, but I'm guessing Anderson now.
137. Mark Ingram
138. Markus Wheaton: He fell a bit for me.  I'm concerned he might not win the #2 WR job.
139. Jarrett Boykin: And with the Packers drafting 3 WRs, he's no sure thing to be 3rd option.
140. Greg Jennings
141. Jordan Matthews: Someone has to catch the balls in Philly.  Why not the rookie?
142. Odell Beckham: And not to get too crazy with the rookies, but the WRs were deep this year!
143. Josh McCown: He'll have some weapons to work with in that new offense.
144. Ryan Tannehill
145. Seahawks DEFENSE
146. 49ers DEFENSE
147. Panthers DEFENSE
148. Bengals DEFENSE
149. Broncos DEFENSE
150. Rams DEFENSE
151. Cardinals DEFENSE
152. Chiefs DEFENSE
153. Patriots DEFENSE
154. Ravens DEFENSE
155. Saints DEFENSE
156. Bills DEFENSE

167. Robbie Gould
168. Graham Gano
