2015 Fantasy Football Rankings v3.0

You may or may not have noticed, but I'm definitely slacking a bit this year (I'm just going to blame it on the new job).  By this time in 2014 I was publishing my third preseason article, but I haven't even gotten out my first one this year.  And after looking at all of the different articles I did last year, I quickly realized that's not going to happen in 2015.  So I'm not going to do separate articles for "Guys I'll Let Someone Else Draft", "Guys Ready For the Next Level", "Who is this year's Zac Stacy?", etc.  Instead, I'll just give you one big article that I've compiled over the last month or so.  It'll be kind of a mixture of all of those things, but I'm not going super in-depth on each individual guy.  But have no fear.  I plan to continue to do weekly rankings once the season starts.  I don't intend to slack there.  I guess we'll see how it goes though.

So look for that in the next couple of weeks, but for now I thought I might as well version up the old rankings and give you a few things to think about as training camps are now underway.  As position battles unfold, this list is going to change...and change...and change some more.  I'm not sure how many more versions I'll give you before Labor Day, but there will at least be one more (AT LEAST!).  We haven't even seen the first episode of Hard Knocks yet, but there's already drama in Houston with the news of Arian Foster's groin.  I wonder if he'll tweet out a picture of the MRI...

2015 Fantasy Football Rankings v2.0

It's been about six weeks since my last post, but I've actually been staying pretty busy while unemployed.  You would think I would have been blogging like crazy, but there isn't a lot to write about in June with respect to fantasy football.  Well, today is my last (business) day of unemployment.  So I thought it was a good time to update my rankings.  I start a new chapter of my professional career on Monday, but I'll try to still make time in the evenings/weekends to keep this blog going.  I know my 8 or 9 readers out there will greatly appreciate that!

Anyway, there are some HUGE names you won't see in my top-168 anymore.  Here's one for you: Stephen Gostkowski.  OK, so maybe it's not a huge name.  After all, he is a kicker.  But while he's one of the best fantasy kickers of all time, he's not on my big board.  You see, the Patriots have the dreaded Week 4 bye, and that means he's off limits for my fantasy squad.  There's no way I'm wasting a pick on a guy I know I'll be waiving after 3 weeks.

As for the other changes, I have notes next to guys who have moved around.  And I know I said in my last post that I'd move some defenses up a bit, but I lied.  I mean, I could see moving the Seahawks up slightly, but I highly doubt I'll draft a defense this year until the last 3 rounds of my draft.  I recommend the same.  Without further ado, here are the rankings!

2015 Fantasy Football Rankings: Rookie Update

Last year I did a recap of the draft for all 32 NFL teams (from a fantasy perspective, of course).  This year, that's not happening.  But I am updating my top-168, and I'll add some players at the bottom to keep an eye on (including several rookies who didn't crack the list...for now).  Defenses and kickers will stay at the very bottom, but I'll move the defenses up a bit in my next rankings update, whenever that will be.  Until then, here is the latest update.  Enjoy!

Yeldon: Another high draft pick who could be the lead RB for his new squad (Jags though). 59. LeGarrette Blount: With so much uncertainty at RB position, Blount rises quite a bit. 60. Giovani Bernard: Gio falls a few spots with others rising. He may need to be down even further.  61. Cam Newton 62. Matt Ryan 63. Tom Brady: Down 2 spots to the bottom of this QB tier. Might reconsider if 4 games becomes 2. 64. Martellus Bennett 65. Golden Tate 66. Martavis Bryant: Up a few spots. If he improves, could be most productive #2 fantasy WR. 67. Roddy White 68. Isaiah Crowell: Also down a bit. Duke Johnson will likely end up in the mix for the Browns. 71. Tevin Coleman: This could change in the coming weeks, but Falcons used high pick on him... 72. Darren McFadden: Cowboys didn't get AP and didn't draft a RB. McFadden has the opportunity. 73. Michael Floyd  74. Amari Cooper: Drafted by the Raiders, who recently signed Crabtree. Chris Ivory: Jets traded a 7th rounder for Zac Stacy, adding to Ivory/Ridley. Ivory down some. 85. Tre Mason: Down a ton. Like I said, Gurley could steal reps as early as Week 1 if healthy.  86.
